A modification to the plans.  Instead of a rubber band, John will use a 1/4 - 20 nylon bolt to hold the wing in place.

It is suggested that you glue the leading edge down before bending the wing sheeting into final position.  So that's what I'm doing!

I glued 3/8ths balsa triangle stock to the end of the aileron then sanded flush.  A nice shortcut to beveling the leading edge!

These work great for weighing down the parts.   The bottle weights 4 1/2 pounds, the larger bag I made weighs in at 3 lbs, and the smaller bag at 1 lb.

The tail feathers are all done.  Just some final sanding and such to do.

Adding the triangle stock here required some additional modifications.  In this case, instead of grooving the elevator halves to accept the joiner wire, I grooved the triangle stock.
